Why do we expect so much from ourselves and others? Are we that competitive? Are we desperate for attention? Things cannot always be what you expect them to be. Sometimes what you get is actually what you deserve. Sometimes we keep forgetting that this world is an imperfect, ever-changing place. Learning to adapt is a challenge to survive each day.
Man is afraid of acceptance, don’t you agree? The essence of it is too hard to comprehend that we go to so much trouble to admit to ourselves the reality of the events in our life. Remember that the world is not to be perceived as black and white for it has a vast gray area, let alone a silver lining when confronting a major problem that one cannot seem to find a solution to. There is good and bad in all of us which, at times, cause an internal war against our very selves and other times that anger may harm someone else. And here, one loses his self and now replaced by an alter-ego, your other self. Depression takes over your mind then slowly it eats up your whole being. You change drastically into someone so different from what you were because of something or someone. Instead of adjusting yourself to that external change, you let yourself be driven away by it. If not all, most people who go through this scary experience seemingly owns a weak spirit. They must immediately seek professional help. Do not keep it to yourself for it may get serious.
Untreated depression is the leading cause of suicide according to www.suicide.org. How can one say that he/she is depressed? It causes one to act unusual to his/her normal actions like a downfall performance in work or school. How do you get depressed? The top reasons are emotionally-based, including the death of a loved one, divorce, and material loss. If you are unsatisfied with the work of others then say it in a subtle way and not in any other way that would drive them nuts. You have your life. You should not try to control theirs. Who are you to pressure someone? And it’s a good start to have an anchor so you will be reminded of your reason to fight this threat to life. You are given the opportunity to experience what it takes to live so appreciate it and all that you currently have. It is plain sad if you decide to throw it all away. Maybe try to divert your attention to something that makes you think less of killing yourself, like a hobby. Or join a support group and meet new people that will inspire you to move forward. Think about what you can make of your future and how it may affect others if you give up trying.
